Decided to try Twitter Premium, here's why
I've been on the fence about Twitter for a while but finally decided to take a deeper dive and try Premium. Full story here:
Last night I was browsing around the interweb and as part of my usual perusal of my bookmarks tab, I stumbled onto Twitter/X.
As many of you know I’ve been very committed to LinkedIn for the last 5+ years but am newer to the Twitter-verse, and I’ve been on the fence about giving their Premium plan a try.
Well, last night (for some reason) they were running a promo for 40% off their annual plans so I decided to bite the bullet:
After all, it only came to around $70 Canadian for the entire year and it comes with some interesting features like:
longer posts (this is really appealing to me because I usually write longer posts first on LinkedIn then have to break them up to post on Twitter - not anymore!)
Grok, their AI, which can help with research, image generation, etc.
slight boosts to comments (will need to test to see if there’s any meaningful change here)
the pretty blue checkmark next to my name, of course
Keep in mind I’m still relatively new to Twitter and not all that active, but I’m trying to post more often so I figured it’s worth testing it out for a year and this might give me an extra kick in the butt.
Another core reason for this new test is because I really enjoy writing and posting text-based content (duh!), and I’ve found LinkedIn is optimal around 1 post per day, so I’d like to see if I can post more volume on Twitter to build my brand even faster.
Am I missing anything? If you have any advice or tips for a more junior Twitter-er, let me know, and/or make sure to connect with me there too.
Of course, I’ll make sure to share my findings as this all plays out.
And if you need any help, don’t forget I have a few more slots for free business coaching calls that you can book with me here before they’re all gone.
Have a great day,

I removed my premium at the end of 2023, but I've been considering going back for 2025, let me know how things go for you.
