Don't forget this (throughout this AI craze)
The AI craze continues, and I don’t think it’s going to end anytime soon.
I think for the time being it’s a classic case of extremes.
There are some people who will live and die by it, and some people who think it’s not that great, or at least, not that great yet. I’d say I’m somewhere in the middle; I think it’s really good in the right circumstances, with the right set up, oversight, etc.
But it’s also interesting times because of if/how it may affect your business, industry, future, everything. And I’ve been thinking about that a lot too.
How will it change the law and legal industries?
How will it change other white collar industries? How about blue collar industries, and/or beyond?
The short answer is I don’t really know, although like most things, it’s usually through a slower, more methodical shift instead of an overnight revolution.
So what should we do in the meantime?
I’ll tell you one thing I’m doing: following the pain/pleasure and cashflow.
What I mean by that is I don’t know if and how AI will change entire industries in the long run, but I know that businesses can only succeed if they make money. And usually you make money by solving someones pain/problem (helping them with a legal issue, lose weight, etc.) or give them additional pleasure (vacation, delicious cake, etc.).
Or in other words, the fundamentals of business. Provide value that people will pay for.
So if you’re getting overwhelmed, or confused, or even stressed out from things like AI and what might happen moving forward, go back to the basics.
How can you do those things and maybe use AI as part of the process?
How can AI help you reach more people?
How can you deliver an even better product or service, or differentiate further?
I can’t answer those for you, but hopefully it gives you some food for thought.
Have a great day,
