Testing out custom Google AI "Gems" (and more AI tips)
Earlier this week I talked about using Google’s Gemini AI to do some brainstorming, marketing planning and content creation.
Link to that full post is here in case you (foolishly?) missed it.
On Friday I ended up covering it in a video too, including 3 major points I didn’t mention in that article:
the 2 key things I look for when evaluating AI tools,
the custom Gemini "Gem” I built (“Gem” is their version of a custom GPT), and
my 1 key tip for getting better at using AI/getting better results
I recorded the video when I went live on LinkedIn, which I do every 2 weeks for the Visto Show. I usually cover immigration and politics on the show (since Visto is an immigration tech company), but more recently I’ve also been spending more time on tech and AI in general.
Side note: I still think live video is slept on as a great growth/marketing tactic.
Anyway, and I’ll mention where you can watch the video in a second, I spent a good half of the show just sharing my screen and talking about AI, Google Gemini, how I built a custom Gemini AI Gem to be my business coach (based on my current goals, priorities, etc., and more (including the 3 bullet points from above).
The feedback was really good - one of the benefits of live video (assuming you have live viewers, which I luckily usually do) is that your viewers give you instant feedback - so I figured I’d share it with you as well.
In fact, I’ll even link you to the exact part of the video where I start talking about AI so you folks who have no interest in immigration don’t have to bore yourselves with that part.
Okay, enough dragging this out, the link to the video of me going over Gemini, how I’ve been using it, custom Gem building and more is here.
And if you watch it, hit “reply” and let me know what you think.
Have a great day,
