Testing some new AI to 5x my Twitter growth
Another week, another fun test and tool I'm trying to put out way more content on social for growth.
Launching a new test today using AI to repurpose more content and grow my Twitter/X on auto-pilot.
Spent most of last night setting it up and I’ll explain more below.
But first, wanted to thank the handful or two of you that have already voted on the poll in my last email, the feedback is helping me whip up some cool stuff for you coming next week. And if you haven’t yet, make sure to scroll to the bottom of my last email to get your vote in here.
Alright, back to today’s business.
As you all know I’m big on posting a lot of (quality) content and also leveraging the best tools to do things like repurpose content to make the most of it. I’ve been thinking about how I’m writing all of these (incredibly amazing) substack posts but not doing a good enough job repurposing them.
Hence, this new test.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I’m 1) not repurposing these emails enough and 2) not posting on Twitter/X enough. So the logical next step was to try and automate a process where I could take every new substack post, pull out the best parts and share them on Twitter.
And the less work, the better, obviously.
Enter Make.com, a tool that lets you build automated worklows that can connect to some of the best tools out there (that is an affiliate link fyi, and using it supports the substack!). You may remember it from one of my posts in July where I talked about how I was using it to take 1 post and convert it into 10 social media posts.
The problem with my previous attempt was that I still tend to write my LinkedIn posts manually every day, so I didn’t need help with more LinkedIn content (as 1 post per day seems ideal on LinkedIn).
But on Twitter, the more posts the better (asssuming they’re good, of course).
So I got to work, building out a new workflow on Make that does the following:
scans a Google Sheet every morning to see if I’ve added a new Substack post
if I have, it scans the post and pulls the 5 best quotes that it thinks are the most interesting and helpful
generates 1 Twitter post for each of the 5 quotes and posts on Twitter every ~3-4 hours for a total of 5 times
This means all I have to do is add a new post into 1 Google Sheet and AI will summarize, repurpose and post about it 5 times on Twitter for me that day.
Kinda cool, eh?
I’m going to test it for a few weeks and see 1) if the content the AI generates is good, which I always want to ensure (so far it’s been pretty good from my early tests), and 2) if it has a meaningful impact on my Twitter followers.
Right now I’m only posting about once per day which as far as I know (I’m a Twitter rookie) is really not making the most of the platform.
And as always, I’ll share how it goes.
What do you think - good idea? Any tips for someone who has a lot of LinkedIn experience but not much on Twitter?
And don’t forget, if you’re struggling with a related business/marketing issue right now, you can book in a quick 20 minute chat with me here. Happy to give you some advice - with absolutely nothing to sell you - and it also helps me get a better sense for what kind of content to create in the future.
Have a great day,

This could be awesome, let us know how it goes. You could add other platforms at some point too.
