Need your opinion on which free PDF I should use...
Every once in a while I write a post asking for your advice.
This is indeed one of those posts.
Now before you get all worked up, have no fear, the only input I need is for you to take about 3.5 seconds to vote on an important question at the end of this email, so it won’t even require you to type a single letter.
I know, I know, I’m so thoughtful.
Anyway, like many email list builders, I include a free PDF when you subscribe to this here substack.
There’s an obvious reason to using this strategy, often called the hook, or a freebie, or a myriad of other names, but explaining this in detail is not the purpose of this email.
For the longest time the freebie that I’ve offered is the first 3 chapters of my e-book: “Just Get Started: Key business lessons from 2 businesses, 5 years and 100+ podcast episodes” where I share the story of starting my first business, a law firm, and getting it to 6 figures in 12 months.
Pretty interesting stuff if I do say so myself, not that I’m biased at all…
Anyway, you may also remember that back in April, I wrote a pretty great post sharing my experience using Google Gemini to brainstorm and create content from scratch with AI. It was one of my more actionable and read posts in a while.
Well, I continued on with fine-tuning that content (because even though AI is getting really good, you should still be using a human-in-the-loop) and came up with a different free PDF that I’m thinking of testing and wanted to get your input, or in other words, decide if this new free PDF might be more enticing and valuable than my old one.
Because if you’re a dedicated email list builder like me, you know how important having a quality freebie is.
So anyway, here is the new PDF I finished touching up over the weekend with a little dash of AI: “The Solopreneur's Survival Guide: 3 Ways to Overcome Loneliness When Working Alone.”
Since I’ve worked from home for the greater part of 8 years (and counting), I took a few stories, tests and things that have worked for me, and compiled them into this PDF that I think will be especially helpful for solopreneurs.
Especially those who work at home/mostly alone.
So here’s what I need from you: a simple vote on which PDF you think is more interesting, or in other words, which would you rather read:
my current PDF: “Just Get Started: Key business lessons from 2 businesses, 5 years and 100+ podcast episodes”
my freshly minted PDF: “The Solopreneur's Survival Guide: 3 Ways to Overcome Loneliness When Working Alone.”
Please take 3.5 seconds to vote below, then I’ll share the results later this week and act accordingly!
Have a great day,
